The world of the five- and six-year-old
Five and six-year-old children can take care of their own needs and the needs of others.
They can be part of a pair, small or large educational group. They continue to work on the practice of
social skills and dialogue.
We provide them with moments to practice patience through longer turns and sharing materials. We
extend the time of education by reading longer books to work on greater concentration of attention,
which is necessary in primary school.
Children learn writing letters, reading, counting, addition, subtraction, measurement, directions,
shapes and other topics necessary to start primary school education. At this stage, we extend
concentration time so that children are ready to participate in school activities.
The education program for 5-6-year-olds in kindergarten is designed to prepare children for school
and support their comprehensive development.
